The Executive Master of Business Administration Batch of 2011 was inaugurated at the School of Business, Alliance University on August 4, 2011. In his inaugural address to students the Chancellor, Alliance University, Dr. Madhukar Angur, provided captivating insights into the various dimensions of executive education globally as well as the top-of-the-mind-concerns of global corporations and international managers. He stressed upon the enlightened roles of business managers today and emphasized the growing importance of ethics and social responsibility in business decision-making. He also urged the students to engage in serious introspection about their goals and aspirations and how they can integrate these into serving society at large and improving upon the quality of life of stakeholders. Distinguished speakers from industry embellished the interactions and shared rich experiences from management in practice. They encouraged the batch to explore their leadership potential as emerging enlightened business leaders who, even while pursuing rewarding and fulfilling careers in future, would also have to be mindful of their roles in the larger community.
